Game of Thrones Jon 42-48

As the night begins, John (Ned Starks bastard) sits and watches the Lannisters and Starks enter the hall.  He watches closely as a feeling of reject and misfit.  He knows his place and is observant of everything.  His uncle Benjen comes to speak with him.  Jon feels as he is ready for something new, such as the the great wall.  Benjen tells him he is only 14 and not ready for such an oath.  In outrage Jon leaves the hall drunkenly and meets Tyrion Lannister who tells him the truth about who he is.  Jon then sees the dwarf as standing tall as a king.

The medieval lifestyle hits large in Jons chapter.  Rulers and lords take and want anything they can get their hands on.  They do this without realizing whats around them.  Jon feels disgust from his own family as the Lannisters.  This is important because in this time own family members were thought as outcasts.  The love for one would only go so far.  The medieval life was to look out for oneself.  The only way Jon realized his truself was by someone like Tyrion.  He too had felt the despair of his family.  Jon has his goal, that goal is to be on his own.  He has been his whole life.
